Maria is a wonderful host! You feel very welcome. The apartment is fully equipped with linens (including cloth napkins!), books about Lisbon and the surrounding area with numerous recommendations. The kitchen is complete, including plenty of spices, oils, dishes, towels, etc.

Disliked

Despite all the thorough cleaning by Maria, the bathroom could use a renovation.

The apartment (top floor; no noise issues) is spacious and simply charming. It overlooks a park and (in spring) the Tagus River beyond. The hostess, Maria, is extremely friendly and reliable. The furnishings are perfect, the living and sleeping areas are well heated (in March) and certainly well cooled in summer.

Disliked

I like older buildings – but that also means, in this case, that the apartment is sometimes a bit damp. Airing it out is good. Somewhat confusing was a written notice in the apartment stating that electricity is only included in the rental price up to a certain kilowatt-hour. Even after a careful search of the terms and conditions on Booking.com, we couldn't find any mention of this. In my opinion, this clause should be prominently displayed before booking to be legally binding. It's also possible that this notice only applies to rentals through other portals – but that, too, could be noted on the sign in the apartment. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit.
