The location is perfect, close to the center, yet in a quiet residential area. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance.

The shower curtain is moldy; the apartment needs a refresh. The bed was OK.

Where do I even begin? I'm incredibly sorry, but since the accommodation hasn't really needed an apology so far, I'll summarize. The accommodation had no heating, okay, that happens quite often in Portugal, but there were electric heaters. Unfortunately, you couldn't run more than two heaters at the same time and also turn on a lamp, otherwise the fuse would blow. Okay, you learn that eventually… But since it rained for the first three days and the temperature was only about 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit), the bed (blankets and mattresses) and all our clothes were constantly damp. The wardrobes also smelled very musty. Furthermore, the water heater broke down several times, which meant we had no hot water for two days and had to keep waiting for the technicians. They were always very friendly, though, and did their best. We also couldn't use the stove because it didn't work. I would also have expected some garbage bags, dish soap, a dishcloth, dishwasher tablets, and a few extra rolls of toilet paper, but we had to buy all of that. ``` All in all, it was a bit uncomfortable, and improvements are definitely needed. There's no air conditioning, just a small, cheap fan, which could probably be unpleasant in the summer.

Unfortunately, we were there in the off-season... which means the cottage was quite damp, as were the beds, also because the heating cannot be turned on. You can smell this in the house as well. It was quite musty and smelled of dampness.

The apartment's location directly on the beach is excellent, as are the availability of a parking space, the many appliances in the kitchen, and the good Wi-Fi.

The gas boiler was extremely inconvenient, sometimes malfunctioning completely, but constantly failing. This resulted in periods without any hot water, and after two visits from a plumber, the boiler frequently needed to be restarted. This was all the more unpleasant as the apartment had no heating and was therefore already very cold in mid-November. Overall, the property is quite run-down and, although generally spacious, the bathrooms are very cramped.
