I come around 8 pm instead of 3 pm check-in time, then they tell me to leave at 10 am. They don't have consideration

"decent low budget option for being close to the airport"

Liked

this is a very cheap place less than an hour walk from the airport, and about 90min walk to city centre. if you want somewhere cheap and have modest expectations, it's good value. if you want a nice hostel to relax and be near the interesting parts of the city, it's not for you.

Disliked

this is low budget hostel - noisy, not especially clean, no lockers. but that's what i expect when i'm looking for the cheapest place in town, and if you don't bring earplugs that's your fault. it is not located close to the centre or the interesting part of the old city as the description claims, but public transport in poznan is excellent.

The only positives were the genuine kindness of the owner and her pleasant approach to me during my visit (despite her obvious love of alcohol, she knows her etiquette). Third point for an interesting cultural experience, as I've never been to a true speakeasy where guests are helped along by the owner. If you enjoy a drink, I recommend bringing a bottle right away—they'll welcome you like family (I don't drink, so that was strange to me).

Disliked

The room, hallways, kitchen, and bathroom were dirty. No lockers. The room didn't lock. I was afraid to leave my belongings because they might steal them while I was gone. The bathroom was in terrible condition. The residents were drinking alcohol and shouting in the kitchen downstairs. The building is essentially a workers' hostel, so it's cheap, but for that price, you can find really good hostels in Krakow, Wroclaw, or Warsaw, where it's clean and safe. A real den.
