This apartment is a nice residential option for a large family, supplying a good amount of space that's often hard to come by in Tokyo. Our daughters loved having a simple play space to retreat into during the evenings. The beds, while springy, are surprisingly cozy, and the tatami mattresses are thick and plush. The heaters in the main space and bedroom work very well. We knew this apartment would be near Asakusa, but we underestimated how long it would commute into other areas of Tokyo. It took us about an hour each way to get into more central neighborhoods via train; just something to note. There is a fantastic Life grocery store right down the street, making it easy to stock up on groceries at any time. The host provided helpful instructions for reaching the apartment and made it very easy to check out (much appreciated given our early-morning departure.)

Our family has traveled extensively throughout Japan and this property wasn't quite up to the cleanliness standards we're used to from Japanese accommodations. Nothing egregious, but it did feel a little more tired than it appears in photos, with the kitchen, dining area, and dryer showing some visible wear-and-tear. I did appreciate the inclusion of a vacuum in the unit, though; it was nice to do a daily sweep since we were staying for almost a week. The water in the shower was warm, but not as hot as we'd like during the cold winter.
