There's no running water. Is there hot water to drink? The single bed is too small.

It's a room-only stay, and you can easily return home late at night. Security is excellent, with an automatic lock on the women's bath. The water quality of the baths is particularly outstanding, even among the Yamaga Onsen hot springs. Chikuwa, the gatekeeper cat at the entrance, added a nice touch.

It's a traditional Japanese hot spring inn. The staff are warm and friendly. It's located right behind the Yamaga bus terminal, making transportation convenient. There's a supermarket a 10-minute walk away. One thing I need to confirm with the inn is whether the communal bathing area for guests is only open until 11 PM. The Yamaga Lantern Festival runs until midnight, and it would be a headache if I couldn't shower after 11 PM.

The bath water was a bit cold, a minor drawback.
