Tucked into one of Tokyo's most energetic districts, 新宿JAPANNINGハウス places guests right in the middle of Shinjuku, a neighbourhood that never quite stops moving. The area is famous worldwide for its neon-lit streets, sprawling department stores, and the iconic Shinjuku Station, one of the busiest…
Who stays here
Couples
One-bedroom apartment offers privacy and independence; Shinjuku location is vibrant for exploring Tokyo together.
Solo travellers
Central Shinjuku location and apartment-style independence suit solo explorers, though modest guest ratings noted.
Families
Only one-bedroom apartments limit space for families; pool is a plus but modest ratings are a concern.
Business travellers
Shinjuku Station proximity aids commuting, but apartment-style lodging lacks dedicated business amenities and meeting facilities.

"HORRIBLE. Rating 0, but I can't give it a 0 and since they might delete the 1, I'm giving it a fake 2."

Cockroaches, filth, a raised bed propped up with wooden blocks to make more money by shoving another bed underneath that you have to crawl in and out of; you bump into the lamp on the top bunk when climbing up, and the overhead cabinets are useless when getting down; a huge installer's ladder, not the kind used for bunk beds; no space for anything, not even sitting down; no cleaning or changing of the already filthy sheets or towels in 7 nights; a dirty bathtub drain grate where water accumulates; no curtain or shower screen; an uncomfortable shower that floods the floor, which is surrounded by green tape because of leaks; everything is repurposed and old; a kitchen that's just taking up space; no wardrobe for hanging clothes, replaced by a flimsy hanger that can't hold anything; a filthy building; a metal door that's possibly unsafe; a tiny balcony full of rubbish and no screen if you wanted to open a window. Everything is old and dirty, with holes in the walls and ceiling from previous items that accumulate dirt and give a bad impression. It shouldn't be offered as holiday accommodation; it ruins your vacation. You don't want to return to the place; it's a waste of money. You pay for cleaning, and it's not for your benefit during your stay, but rather to save money by leaving it "tidy" for the next guest who makes the mistake of choosing this hovel.

"Nice stay"

The location is great. Just from a short walk to Shinjuku and full of restaurants around, 7 eleven,.. Super calm and quite building and street, I only used for sleep and I could rest very well. Bed and sheets are really nice. I didn’t use it but you have machine wash, microwave and a small kitchen. AC works well, WiFi too. Clean.
Disliked
Small, it’s a small place with a tiny bath tube and a small toilet. Even though it’s enough for one traveller or a couple, just consider this if you are too big/tall. Not a big problem anyways. Just a bit overpriced as my personal opinion for a small basic apartment. But I guess location worth the price. And all the rest it’s ok.

It's close to the station, the room is clean, and the staff were very kind! The abundance of electrical outlets was a huge plus. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap weren't pictured, so I brought my own, but they were all provided in the room.
Disliked
The TV signal was really bad and it barely worked...>< And because it's so small, I bumped my head on the corner of the bed several times.
