Tucked into the Katsushika district of eastern Tokyo, this three-star guesthouse occupies a quieter residential corner of the city while keeping you surprisingly well connected to its most iconic sights. Tokyo Skytree, the soaring broadcasting tower that has become one of the capital's defining…
Who stays here
Couples
Quiet residential location offers local charm, but low guest ratings and apartment-style setup aren't particularly romantic.
Solo travellers
Good transit access and WiFi help solo travellers, but a three-bedroom apartment is oversized for one person.
Families
Spacious three-bedroom apartment suits families well, with kitchen space and a quiet residential neighborhood to explore.
Business travellers
Remote residential location, no business facilities, and apartment format make it poorly suited for business stays.

The bed was soft and plush, and the abundant amenities such as a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, and washing machine made for a very comfortable stay. It's also close to the station, and there are supermarkets and restaurants open until 10 PM nearby, so even if you're tired from a day of sightseeing, you can easily grab a meal or quickly buy anything you might need. The location is great. The staff were very polite and helpful, and I would definitely like to stay here again when I travel to Tokyo.
Disliked
Since there was no changing room, I felt a little awkward staying with a friend I don't see often.

First the good: -The best thing about this is the location. Near the Keisei-Takasago Station, it has Services to both Ueno and Asakusa and Narita in the other direction. - Also around the station are supermarkets and restaurants. - The street on which this apartment is on is quiet. - The owners are communicative and helpful - The price was okay, but heavily outweighed by the negatives

Oh boy, there is a lot to say here: - The keyhole was labelled wrongly with "DO NOT OPEN HERE". I of course did not open there, but as such was stuck outside in the cold for 90 Minutes, until someone told me to use that keyway anyways. - The whole house if bereft of insulation. While this might work in the summer, I stayed in January, when the temperatures regularly dipped below freezing. The air conditioning could not heat up the ground floor, even while running on full power 24/7. I was provided with a space heater, however that also only worked if running for 3+ hours, while not being able to leave it unattended. So no warm house when you return from your trip. - Most of the rooms you see in the pictures don't exist in that capacity. Every spare space was covered in beds/mattresses, with no space to move them to. So instead of quite a spacious abode, everything is cramped and you don't have much space. The large Tatami Room on the second practically doesn't exist, as there is a bedframe covering the entire floor, just as an example. - There was a lot of dirt, grime and general signs of wear everywhere. From dirty floors, uncleaned refrigerators (with hairs inside!), and spills on the stools, to chipped paint on most of the walls, I really recommend a thorough renovation before renting this apartment out again. Some more minor/weird things: - The door for the toilet is almost blocked by the fridge. If you're a bit more portly, good luck on squeezing through. - There is a giant emergency exit sign on the second floor, which illuminates the bedroom even through the sliding doors - There are no condiments of any kind in the Kitchen (no salt, pepper, soy sauce, etc.) - The outside of the home looks quite run-down and unmaintained

It's in a good location, close to the station and supermarket.

Overall, the building was old, and noticeable issues included water stains on dishes, gaps in the entrance doors, and toilet doors that only opened halfway.

Super comfortable

Check in is hard, and they ask us to take out the garbage and strip the beds and stuff before leaving which is kinda annoying after paying this price.
