Tucked into the coastal city of Toba on the Shima Peninsula, this small guesthouse sits within easy reach of the glittering waters of Ise-Shima and the cultural draw of the Ise Grand Shrine, one of Japan's most revered Shinto sites. The surrounding area rewards curious visitors with sea views,…
Who stays here
Couples
Small coastal guesthouse with a romantic setting, but modest ratings and limited room options temper its appeal.
Solo travellers
Affordable, quiet base near cultural sites and coastal scenery suits independent explorers well.
Families
Pool and parking help, but only double rooms and limited amenities make it challenging for families.
Business travellers
Remote coastal location, modest facilities, and no meeting or business amenities make it a poor business choice.

It's close to the sea, so you could go fishing. The accommodation costs are unusually cheap.

This was my first time using a short-term rental (Airbnb), and I didn't really understand it, so unfortunately I won't be using short-term rentals again.

"If you're looking for cheap accommodation, there are only a couple of options in Ise, including this place and one other."

It's incredibly cheap. While some noise can be heard, the rooms are partitioned, so privacy is ensured. Much better than a dormitory. Parking is free. The location and entrance are a bit difficult to find, but the owner sent detailed instructions with photos the day before, explaining the location, check-in process, and even nearby supermarkets and hot springs. I was very impressed.

Since I'm just renting out the first floor of my old house, the facilities themselves are old. Think of it like your grandmother's house. It might feel too much like someone else's home, so it might not be the kind of place where you can truly relax both physically and mentally.

Very good hospitality!! Let me use their bike which was super convenient and helpful! Although they don’t have a shower I was able to go to the onsen at the near by hotel they recommended!! It was one of the best onsens I’ve ever been to. A beautiful view of the ocean!! Also, although there is no breakfast the mother still offered me a bao and we sat and ate together. I loved my stay, thank you! I recommend this place if you’re looking for something cozy and cheap!
