Super typical facility. Excellent hospitality. Services exceeded expectations. We had the onsen all to ourselves for an hour, and it was beautiful and relaxing. The room is beautiful, with a sink and toilet. You shower in the onsen. We also had dinner and breakfast, both kaiseki-style. Breakfast was more in keeping with the average taste of an Italian visiting Japan for the first time. Dinner features many small dishes, sometimes with stronger aftertastes, far removed from our own. In any case, we're very happy we tried this experience; it was a must-do!

The staff were really accommodating and kind. They made sure to greet you and provide you with everything that you need. The breakfast was delicious and I really enjoyed it.
Disliked
For me, I was out late and there is just no way to get in if you're out past 11pm/12am. I suspect that's only an issue for me because I'm a solo traveler that's young, but something to note.
