About this property

Tucked into a residential neighbourhood of Rome within easy reach of the Colosseum, Civico Nove al Colosseo carries the quiet confidence of a property that knows it has one of the world's greatest addresses. The ancient amphitheatre sits less than two kilometres away, and the surrounding streets offer that particular mix of everyday Roman life and monumental history that no amount of planning can manufacture. San Giovanni, one of the city's busiest metro stations, is just a short walk from the front door, meaning the Forum, Trastevere, and the Vatican are all comfortably within reach without the need for a taxi. Guests staying at Civico Nove al Colosseo are accommodated in well-appointed one-bedroom apartments, a format that suits travellers who prefer space and privacy over a conventional hotel room. A fully equipped kitchen allows for the small domestic pleasures of shopping at a local market and cooking a meal at your own pace, while the flat-screen television and reliable Wi-Fi make longer stays genuinely comfortable. The property also benefits from a swimming pool, a restaurant, and on-site parking, a combination that is genuinely rare to find this close to the historic centre of Rome. The apartment format here makes the property a natural fit for couples seeking a romantic Roman escape with a little more breathing room than a standard double room allows, and equally for professionals or solo travellers on extended stays who want independence without sacrificing quality. Families travelling with older children will also appreciate the self-contained layout. Rome Ciampino Airport lies roughly twelve kilometres away, making arrivals and departures straightforward, and the metro connections nearby mean the entire city unfolds at a comfortable, unhurried pace.

Great location, close to the metro and bus stops. The Colosseum is a 30-minute walk away. Grocery stores and pizzerias are also nearby. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. Self-service check-in with clear instructions. The heating works perfectly and you can adjust the temperature.

Disliked

The mail outside makes noise on weekday mornings, though it's not alarming. There's no dining table. The keys to the gate outside and the entrance to the building jam. Especially the gate.

Great location, close to the city center, good transportation. The apartment is spacious, comfortable layout, easy key collection, access, flexible, kind host. Thank you!

Disliked

I was missing a few basic items in the kitchen (salt, pepper + olive oil, which can make it easier to prepare a quick meal; tea bags + sugar). There were plenty of pots, plates, glasses, cutlery, a coffee maker and coffee, so there was very little missing to make the kitchen perfectly equipped. We left a box of tea and olive oil there, but salt + spices would definitely come in handy for those who come after us :) And one more thing: 2 rolls of toilet paper are not enough for 2 people for 1 week, we need more!
