I loved the location. The apartment although close to the "touristy" area was in a quiet and calm building. Communication with the staff was very pleasant! Overall a great place to stay at.

I feel like it would be great to have 2 sets of keys for the room/house.

The location in the city is relatively good. Very close to Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. You can reach the sights in the historic center relatively easily on foot.

First of all, we were shocked when we arrived at the property because we discovered that the accommodation was actually an apartment with three rooms that we had to share with other guests. This was not mentioned at all when we made the reservation. We had a room with a private bathroom, but every time we stepped out of our room, we would run into other tourists in the apartment. The room was extremely small for the four of us. There was barely any space to move around. The smell in the bathroom was unbearable, like sewage. The double bed literally fell apart when we sat on it. It had some wooden slats underneath that kept coming loose, and you would just sink down with the mattress. I had to fix it myself. We stayed for 4 nights. On the second day, we asked the owner to change the towels. He left 3 sets of towels in a common area of the apartment, even though we were 4 people. On the last day, we asked for more toilet paper because we had run out. Instead of bringing it to our room, he left it again in the common area, and other guests took it, probably because they also needed it. So we ended up spending one day without toilet paper, even though we paid €200 per night. The “cherry on top” was on the last day, when the owner offered us a free late check-out as a way to make up for the poor experience. However, later that day he messaged me asking what time we would leave because he needed to clean. I felt pressured and told him he could clean the room, as I only needed a place to leave our luggage. He had told me there would be no other guests, so I said I would leave the luggage in the common kitchen area. But when we returned in the evening, there were actually other guests, so the next morning I could not leave my belongings there as they included valuables and documents. In the end, I had to rent a luggage locker in the city. That was my “free late check-out” 🙂 Overall, I would not recommend this place, not even to my enemies.

Everything was great. Highly recommended. We loved the location, just 200 meters from the Vatican. Supermarket next door. Excellent host.

I would add more pillows, but that's just a matter of personal preference.
