Private Jacuzzi & Acropolis View - The Suite

We enjoyed the quieter location. It was a little farther away from the acropolis than other places, but a very easy train ride away. We like staying a bit farther away for the peace. We didn’t use the jacuzzi for the hot days! But it looked like it’d be lovely!

Disliked

The common areas (hallways, stairway, entry way) smelled heavily of raw sewage. Probably made worse by the extreme heat, but it was pretty bad.

Liked

Lovely furnished apartment. Lots of space - could lounge on the balcony in deckchairs or hot tub when warm, or lounge on a spacious sofa inside when cooler. In both cases you get an epic view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. Bed was pretty comfy compared to most Greek beds we've slept in. The owner is trying out smart devices, so you can unlock the flat with an app, and control some of the lights and the window blinds with your phone as well as with good old fashioned buttons. Adds a bit of fun! Hot tub apparently mainly warmed by solar on the roof, so reduces any environmental guilt, though you will just need to plan for it in less sunny months and run the electric heater in advance.

If you're susceptible to noise in the night then a little loud from the streets below, but I think unless you're on a side street this will always be the case. We're used to silence at night at home though and still slept relatively well.

The only way to get into the apartment is the app you have to install before arriving. And the app doesnt work without internet. We have to buy cellular internet roaming to get into the building :/ and the neighbourhood isnt safe
