The owner was responsive and the price was affordable. However, that wasn't enough, as he didn't check the condition of the house before our arrival.
Disliked
The house was not heated. The feeling upon arrival that no one had been there for a while. I think the house is not suitable for renting to guests in the winter, or rather requires some renovation and arrangement, especially in the lower rooms.

A good review is hard to give. Although we payed for the extra 2 persons, we had to search for bedding, not all of them smelled good, and had to put them ourselves, so we payed for nothing. The door from downstairs that goes to the storage room was open and the cold came in the house, we had to fix it somehow. The radiators were half cold and with the very low temperatures outside, it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep. (Owners answer - have you turned them up? ?!) In the living room downstairs it was a mold smell. I understand it is an old house and the price was okay, but some minimum conditions were not met for an accommodation. Again, owners answer - it is cheap.

Plenty of space, the whole house to ourselves. Great equipment and perfectly located for our hiking destinations. The Maltatal valley and the Nockalm mountains are a dream. And a short distance away is a gas station with a Spar supermarket: open every day with lots of regional delicacies.

An old, charming house isn't perfect. It's a bit chilly for sitting around in the evening, but then you just have to use the wood stove.
