Tucked into a quieter residential corner of Salzburg, Austria, the Aigner Ferienwohnung offers the kind of unhurried base that lets you experience this city on your own terms. Salzburg's historic old town, with its baroque domes and the commanding silhouette of Hohensalzburg Fortress rising above the rooftops, sits just a short drive away, making the property genuinely well-placed for anyone wanting to explore one of Central Europe's most atmospheric cities without being caught up in the bustle of the centre itself. The accommodation leans firmly into the apartment-style format, which suits longer stays particularly well. Guests can choose between a one-bedroom apartment and a more generous two-bedroom apartment complete with a balcony — a welcome touch when Salzburg's mountain-framed scenery is on your doorstep. The Aigner Ferienwohnung also offers access to a swimming pool, a restaurant on site, and free private parking, which is a genuine practical advantage in a city where street parking can be frustratingly limited. Connectivity is covered with WiFi throughout, and the self-contained nature of the units means guests can settle in comfortably rather than feeling tied to hotel schedules. This property makes most sense for families or small groups who appreciate having their own space and the flexibility that apartment living provides, especially across a multi-night stay. Couples planning a longer break in the region will also find the balcony apartments appealing. Salzburg sits within easy reach of the Salzkammergut lake district and the Austrian Alps, making it a strong base for day trips beyond the city itself. For those travelling from further afield, Salzburg's airport is only a short distance from the property, which eases arrivals considerably.

"Apartment in a quiet location in a beautiful city"
Translated from Czech
Liked
Quiet location, accessible near a public transport stop, possibility of electronic check-in and following the online option of using free transport in Salzburg and the surrounding area, the owner accommodated us according to our requirements, good communication with him, the apartment is large and ideal for a family with children, we were 4 adults and it was fine, a big advantage is that the apartment has 2 toilets, a fully equipped kitchen, a huge living room and two separate bedrooms. One even has a sauna. The location is really quiet, the view of the surroundings is beautiful. Great both in summer and in winter. It is about 2.5 km to the center, those who like to walk will use it, otherwise there is a trolleybus stop a short distance from the apartment.
Disliked
It depends on each person what they are used to. The apartment suited us and I have nothing to complain about.

We stayed here in January. We really enjoyed it; it was -11°C outside, but the room was very warm. It was clean and had everything you need. There are two grocery stores nearby. It's a 40-minute walk from the city center. The owner gave us free public transportation tickets for all the days we were there. If we ever come back to Salzburg, we'll stay again.
Disliked
It didn't bother us, but there are people who don't like broken dishes.
