Tucked into the lively Cola di Rienzo neighbourhood on the right bank of the Tiber, Vatican Suites in Cola Di Rienzo occupies one of Rome's most enviable positions. St Peter's Square and the Vatican Museums are practically on the doorstep, making this four-star property an obvious base for anyone…

Nice area, easily accessible with several options for public transportation (metro and several buses in walking distance) Overall impression of the apartment, nice interior design, comfiness They let us check in early, as the room wasn't occupied on the previous day
Disliked
No ventillation in the bathroom - steam and smells only disappear if the bathroom door is opened - which is especially a downside due to bad smells coming up the drainage pipe every morning, even if shower was used 8 hours before Entry to the common area of the two apartments was a bit of a hassle, as the door opened with a special method (we were shown upon checking in how to do it, but i deem it still to be a a bit too complicated that could be improved upon by a different lock system, as it was very hard to open with one hand full) Walls were really thin in the bathroom, could easily hear what neighbors were saying on the other side

The location, cleanliness, good bedrooms and bathrooms

There was no ventilation, the indoor climate was not very good. The walls are not soundproofed as they say. You can hear everything from the neighbors. We were woken up at night when someone rang the doorbell on the street.

"Excellent, centrally located spacious apartment near the Vatican."

We stayed for a week at Vatican Suites in Cola Di Rienzo, an apartment located on the first floor of one of the many stately apartment blocks in the Prati district of Rome. The apartment is accessible via a few stairs and a hallway (no elevator available) and is situated at the rear of the block, overlooking Via Catullo, a reasonably quiet street. The block exudes the atmosphere of the early twentieth century, but the apartment has been completely renovated and is modernly furnished. The apartment consists of two spacious en suite rooms; the first (with an entrance) is furnished as a kitchen, living and dining room, and features a built-in bathroom (toilet, bidet, shower, and sink), while the second room is furnished as a spacious bedroom with a large (excellent) double bed, a sofa bed, nightstands, open wardrobe storage, a luggage rack, and a TV. In short: spacious, comfortable, and complete. Contrary to the information on the Booking.com website, the apartment has excellent Wi-Fi. Prati is a lively neighborhood in Rome with many (chic) shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Three nearby places were particularly appreciated by us: Gabrini’s delicatessen located next to the apartment (shop during the day; restaurant after 8:00 PM), the excellent ice cream parlor Guttilla, and the Osteria Ragno d'Oro. For visitors who are reasonably mobile, all of Rome's major sights are within walking distance; otherwise, the metro can be used from Lepanto station. For those interested in Roman archaeology, a visit to Ostia Antica is recommended (travel time approx. 1.5 hours, public transport costs €1.50 pp, entrance fee €18 pp, metro line A to Termini, transfer to B to Pyramids, and there at Porta San Paolo station transfer to the (metro) train to Ostia Antica).
Disliked
Actually, nothing disappointed us. As a tip for the landlord: more atmospheric lighting (modern chandelier) in the kitchen, living room, and dining room would, in our opinion, enhance the experience of the apartment.
